Christopher James Gold Corporation (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has appointed E. Max Baker, of Vancouver, as President and a director. The appointment is a key step in the Company's growth strategy.

Mr. Baker is an exploration geologist with over 30 years of experience in the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe. Most recently, Mr. Baker served as Director of Exploration for Oriel Resources plc, a London-based company with nickel and chromite projects in Kazakhstan and gold projects in the Russian Federation and Kyrgyzstan. Previously, he was Chief Geologist for Newcrest Mining Limited, Chief Geologist (South America) for MIM Holdings Limited and Principal Geologist (Asia) for Renison Goldfield Corporation. He has also held senior technical and managerial positions for several junior mining companies. Mr. Baker completed his B.Sc. (Hons) and Ph.D. at James Cook University of North Queensland.

Albert (Ab) Ablett has resigned as President and a director. The Company extends its appreciation to Mr. Ablett for his strong support and contribution during the three years that he served as an officer and director.

New Incentive Option Plan

Separately, the Company has adopted a new fixed ceiling incentive stock option plan (the "Plan"). A total of 3,548,555 shares are reserved for issuance under the new Plan, which includes all outstanding stock options. The Plan permits the granting of stock options to directors, officers, consultants and employees of the Company. While the Company is a Tier 2 issuer on the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange"), options may have a maximum term of five years and will vest over a period of not less than 18 months.

The Company has awarded Mr. Baker options to purchase 885,000 common shares for five years at a price of $0.39 per share. The options are subject to a four month hold period and will vest in four instalments over three years. The Company's new Plan must be approved by both the Exchange and by shareholders before options granted under it can be exercised.
