Christopher James Gold Corp. (the "Company") has engaged Philip Anderson of Lima, Peru, as its Manager, Latin American Operations. In addition to project management, Mr. Anderson will be responsible for identifying and assessing new exploration and development opportunities for the Company, focusing primarily on Peru, Chile and Argentina.

Company President Max Baker commented: "Phil is a superb exploration geologist and a great judge of mineral properties. He has established deep roots in South America and we are very fortunate to have him in place to source and evaluate new projects and to oversee our Latin American operations."

Mr. Anderson has extensive experience throughout Latin America and has operated an exploration office in Lima, Peru since 1997. After obtaining his B.Sc. in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines in 1981, he worked as an exploration geologist in Alaska and Latin America for companies that include Noranda, Lac Minerals, Kennecott, Cominco, Hecla, Metallica Resources, Magma Copper, and Bema Gold Corporation.

Since 1997, Mr. Anderson has managed much of the South American exploration efforts of Brett Resources Inc. and has provided project management and evaluation services to companies such as Kinross Gold Corporation and Solomon Resources.

The Company has awarded Mr. Anderson stock options to purchase 200,000 common shares at a price of $0.43 per share for a period of five years. The options will vest in accordance with the Company's option plan and are subject to a four-month hold period that expires June 23, 2006. The options may not be exercised until the Company receives disinterested shareholder and final TSX Venture Exchange approval of its new stock option plan and of the option exercise price.
