News 2005

On Monday April 25, 2005, Christopher James Gold Corp. held its Annual General Meeting. All five current Directors were re-elected, namely:
S. Douglas (Bud) Smith, Q.C.
Albert A. (Ab) Ablett
Brian Groves
Dr. Kenneth Dawson; and
Joseph Monette

During a subsequent Directors Meeting, a consensus was reached that the Company's interests would be best served by a comprehensive reorganization of executive offices on the Board in conjunction with the formation of an executive committee. Bud Smith, expressed his belief that he would be leaving his role as President at a point in the Company's development when its financial resources, exploration opportunities and the experience and talent of its key personnel positioned it well to move aggressively and successfully forward.

Albert A. Ablett will succeed Bud Smith as the Company's President. Bud Smith commented that Ab, a long time supporter and recent director of the Company, has, over his long career in the mineral exploration industry, established a solid and deserved reputation as an able and accomplished businessman with impeccable integrity. He has an in depth knowledge of the Company's current exploration properties and an appetite to pursue new exploration opportunities.

In his new role, Ab will be assisted and supported by a newly formed Executive Committee. Consisting of Ab, Dr. Kenneth Dawson and Brian Groves, it will be chaired by Mr. Groves.

Joe Monette, in addition to his current role as the Company's corporate secretary, will assume the chair of the audit committee. Dr Kenneth will continue to act as chairman of the Board of Directors.

A collaborative approach to corporate decision making will be employed to take maximum advantage of the quality and depth of talent and experience of the directors. The directors, collectively, are confident that the Company has positioned itself well to take full advantage of the positive economic forces that are propelling B.C. toward a period of rapid growth in the mineral exploration industry.

On Behalf of the Board:
Albert A. Ablett, President
