News 2005

CHRISTOPHER JAMES GOLD (CJG-V) is pleased to advise that the current drilling program has encountered skarn mineralization within the Ab 5 drill hole as shown in Figure 1.

The strongly magnetically altered skarn was encountered at a depth of 91.5 meters to 93 meters within an interbedded impure limestone unit. It should be noted that significant chalcopyrite was discovered and will be assayed for copper content along with other elements. Unfortunately the hole was lost directly following this interval due to drill failure. However, the Company is stepping out 100 meters to the east in an effort to extend the continuity of the structure and to investigate to depth.

The current drilling program at Craigmont consists of a program totaling some 9 holes and 2,000 meters and will drill test 5 drill targets identified by an extensive geophysical program that included magnetics, surface and downhole IP. In addition, the geophysical data was processed using state-of-the-art 3-dimensional inversion which is an enabling technology that allows the company to not only identify prospective drilling targets but also to develop a 3D picture of the nature, extent, orientation and character of the anomalous zones.

The zone depicted in Figure 1 has been shown to be coincident with a modest magnetic trend in addition to being in proximity to a chargeable and resistive anomaly.

To date, this anomaly has never been tested by drilling and indicates a structure of approximately 1000 meters in strike length and 150 meters in width.

Jeff Stibbard of JDSemi ( Kelowna, B.C.) is coordinating drilling activities and logistics in the field and Spence Coutlee of SCS Drilling ( Kamloops, B.C.) is providing drilling services.

Drill core from the Ab 5 drill hole has been sent to EcoTech Laboratories of Kamloops, BC, Canada for 28 element ICP analysis with full geochemical analysis for Au, Pt and Pd. EcoTech is a certified laboratory as required by Canadian National Policy 43-101.

Christopher James Gold Corp, in addition to its option upon the Craigmont Mines property holds a 100% ownership interest in four other British Columbia mineral projects namely, Big Kidd (alkalic porphyry Au; Cu) Brassie (polymetallic skarn and manto Ag, Au, Cu, Pb, Zn, Fe): Portage Lake (vein and potential VMS Cu, Ag, Au); Worldstock (porphyry Cu, Au). The Kamloops based company is actively exploring financing and partnership arrangements to advance each of its projects.

This news release was prepared by Project Manager, Mr. Garth Kirkham, P.Geoph., of Kirkham Geosystems Ltd who is the qualified person as required by National Policy 43-101 and who is the technical person responsible for this news release.

Christopher James Gold Corporation is committed to supplying shareholder value in a cost effective manner and trades on the TSX Venture Exchange (Canada) with trading symbol CJG-V.
